The "Ish" Game...

Hey, y'all...this will just be a quick post of a short video of one of the games that the kids here play...its sort of like "rock, paper, scissors" but much cooler and much more difficult...its actually pretty amazing to watch them play it...their reflexes and speed and sharpness is unbelievable and impressive...im not gonna explain the rules to the game but i will be teaching it to charlie for a project she's doing on western samoa...youll notice the "ish" sounds theyre making...i dont know why they do it, but i think its kinda cool...they look like robotic machines or something...or like jedi masters...every morning i hear those "ishing" sounds outside (and inside) my classroom...most of the teachers hate it...but i find it oddly relaxing...and cool...afterall, i used to make those noises all the time when i was little :-)

anyways, theres lots of noises in the video cause it was taken during lunch time in my classroom...and you cant understand the boys cause theyre speaking in samoan...and i apologize for the wind, as well...either way, youre probably not gonna have any idea what these boys are doing...just know that its a culturally peculiar game...but its also kinda tight, too...my students are so talented ;-)
